Sharon Wharton, LCSW
Psychotherapist

If you've been carrying the weight of the past for too long, you might feel exhausted, with little hope that you'll find peace. Maybe memories intrude when you least expect them, or you find yourself stuck in patterns you can't seem to change. I offer a safe, compassionate space where your story will be heard without judgment and your healing process will be honored.

I live in Estes Park, and provide tele-therapy to residents of Colorado.

My approach is trauma-informed, which means we'll work at a pace that feels safe for you, always prioritizing your sense of control and choice. I use a variety of evidence-based strategies to help you shift unhelpful thought patterns and build healthier coping skills, including EMDR and CBT.

I strongly believe in the importance of developing a foundation of self-compassion, and this is at the heart of my practice. Being kinder to yourself has been shown in research to decrease anxiety and depression, and increase a sense of connection with others. Healing is possible, and you don't have to walk the path alone.
